A major Tube line was facing serious disruption after emergency services responded to a casualty on the track on the TfL network earlier today.
The Victoria line continues to run with delays following the incident on Wednesday morning.
Earlier, the Overground’s Suffragette line was also partly suspended due to the death on the tracks.
Emergency services were called to Walthamstow Queen’s Road station at around 5.55am.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended, along with paramedics, but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Central line delays

There are severe delays on the Central line while TfL provide assistance to a person ill on a train at Leyton.
Tickets are being accepted by London Buses, Liberty Line, Elizabeth Line, Chiltern, Great Western, Greater Anglia services.
Victoria line update

There are now only minor delays on the Victoria line, as service returns to normal following the earlier customer incident.

The Victoria line continues to operate with severe delays to today’s earlier customer incident.
Tickets will be accepted on London Buses, Weaver/Suffragette line, Great Northern, Greater Anglia, Thameslink, South Western Railway and Southeastern via reasonable routes.
Elsewhere, there are minor delays on the Central line between Leytonstone and Epping & Hainault and between North Acton and Ealing Broadway & West Ruislip due to train cancellations.
There are also minor delays on the Metropolitan line between Moor Park and Watford due to an earlier signal failure at Neasden.
There is a good service on the remainder of the network.
British Transport Police confirm single casualty on the tracks

The British Transport Police have confirmed there has been only one casualty on the tracks on the TfL network this morning.
In a statement the British Transport Police said: “We were called to Walthamstow Queen’s Road station at around 5.55am today (16 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Officers attended, along with paramedics, but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
It is understood delays on the Victoria line currently are due to the earlier incident.

Disruption between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport

All lines have now reopened following an earlier fault with the signalling system between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport and Reading.
However National Rail have warned trains running between these stations may continue to be cancelled in full, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised to terminate at a different station on their route.
Heathrow Express services between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5 are affected.
All Great Western Railway routes to and from London Paddington, and also between Maidenhead and Marlow are also disrupted.
Trains remain unable to run between Maidenhead and Marlow.
Disruption is expected until 12.30pm. according to National Rail.
District line delays ease

Earlier severe delays on the District line between Ealing Broadway and Turnham Green have eased while engineers deal with a signalling problem.
There are currently no issues being reported on the line by TfL.
Victoria line trains halted due to 'casualty on the tracks'

The line was closed this morning as emergency services dealt with a casualty on the tracks between Barking Riverside and South Tottenham.

London Northwestern services between these stations will be cancelled and a reduced service will run.
This is expected until 5pm.
Hertfordshire train disruption

Commuters coming into London from Stevenage and Hertford North are facing slower journeys due to a signalling issue on Wednesday morning.
A signalling system fault between the two Hertfordshire stations means trains are running at reduced speed. National Rail says journeys between the stations may be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised.
The commuter route takes passengers into Old Street and Moorgate.
Disruption is expected until 10:00.

Minor delays on the District line

The District line is getting in on the act now. It is also reporting minor delays during rush hour due to train cancellations.
By The Standard’s count, that is six tube lines suffering with delays and an Overground service, the Suffragette line still part suspended between Barking Riverside and South Tottenham.

It comes after there was a broken down train earlier on the track blocking the route. All lines have reopened but National Rail says passengers should be prepared for last-minute changes to South Western Railway services in and out of London Waterloo.
Disruption is expected until midday.
