
There are severe delays on LNER services into and from London King’s Cross after a person was hit by a train.
The incident on Tuesday morning at Durham meant the closure of lines leading to major delays on LNER between London Kings Cross and Doncaster, Newcastle, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh, and also between Darlington and Newcastle.
Lines have reopened but passengers are still being warned of delays of up to 45 minutes and possible cancellations until at least 11am.
Meanwhile severe delays were reported on the Tube’s Victoria line due to an earlier faulty train at Oxford Circus.
