London travel news LIVE: Elizabeth line trains hit by signal fault at Heathrow

The Elizabeth line is currently suspended between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4 due to a signal failure at Heathrow Terminal 4.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses and London Underground services via reasonable routes.

Commuters are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or take alternative routes.

Northern line reopens

12:00 , Tom Place

A regular service has resumed on the Northern Line, with only minor delays between Camden Town and Battersea Power Station via Charing Cross due to an earlier faulty train at Kennington.

Northern line update

11:22 , Tom Place

The Northern line is currently part suspended between Kennington and Battersea Power Station due to a faulty train at Kennington.

There are also minor delays between Kennington and Camden Town via Charing Cross, with a good service on the rest of the line.

Heathrow update

10:17 , Tom Place

The disruption at Heathrow remains ongoing.

A fault with the signalling system at Heathrow Terminal 4 means the Elizabeth line is currently not running between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4.

The disruption is expected until around 12pm, and tickets will be accepted on the Piccadilly line and London buses.

Bakerloo line update

There is a good service again on the Bakerloo line.

The only line with any issues is the Elizabeth line, where there is currently no service between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4 due to a signalling failure.

District line update

Hammersmith & City line update

There is now a good service again on the Hammersmith & City line.

Tube and Overground update

Here is the current state of the Tube and Overground:

  • Bakerloo line - Minor delays
  • District line - Severe delays
  • Elizabeth line - Part suspended between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4
  • Hammersmith & City line - Minor delays
  • All other lines - Good service

District line update

There are now also severe delays on the District line between Earl's Court and Wimbledon due to a signalling problem.

North Circular update

There has been a vehicle collision on the A406 Southend Road westbound near the junction with Harbet Road.

One of two lanes is blocked as a result - expect delays.

Circle line update

There is now a good service again on the Circle line.

Hammersmith & City Line update

The Hammersmith & City line delays are now only minor following the earlier points failure at Aldgate East.

Elizabeth line update

The Elizabeth line has been suspended between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4 due to a signal failure at Heathrow Terminal 4.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses and London Underground services via reasonable routes.

District line update

There are still severe delays on the District line between Earl's Court and Richmond & Ealing Broadway, and minor delays between Earl's Court and Wimbledon, due to the earlier faulty train at Barking.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, the Mildmay line, the Elizabeth line and South Western Railway services.

Tube roundup

There are severe delays on the District line between Earl's Court and Richmond & Ealing Broadway, and minor delays between Earl's Court and Wimbledon, due to an earlier faulty train at Barking.

There are also severe delays on the Hammersmith & City line due to an earlier points failure at Aldgate East.

There are minor delays on both the Bakerloo line and the Circle line clockwise only.

There is a good service on the rest of the Tube and Overground.

Trams update

From yesterday until Wednesday 25 February, there will be no service on London trams between East Croydon and Beckenham Junction, Elmers End, or New Addington.

Replacement buses are in operation.

District line update

The District line delays are now between Tower Hill and both Richmond & Ealing Broadway, due to an earlier faulty train at Barking.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, the Mildmay line, the Elizabeth line and South Western Railway services.

There is a good service on the rest of the line.

Bakerloo update

There are currently minor delays on the entire Bakerloo line due to train cancellations.

Circle line update

There are minor delays on the Circle line between Hammersmith and Edgware Road eastbound only due to an earlier customer incident.

There is a good service on the rest of the line.

Hammersmith & City update

There are severe delays on the Hammersmith & City line due to an earlier points failure at Aldgate East.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, the DLR, the Elizabeth Line and C2C services.

District line update

07:13 , Tom Place

There are currently severe delays on the District line between Upminster and Tower Hill westbound only due to a faulty train at Barking.

There is a good service on the rest of the line.
