The M25 has been closed in the clockwise direction by police at the Dartford Crossing this morning as police respond to an incident.
Traffic was stopped at around 6am as police responded to concerns of a person’s welfare, with National Highways East advising motorists to seek alternative routes.
The incident is causing delays of up to three-and-a-half hours in the area, according to traffic monitoring services.
Elsewhere, there were severe delays on the Bakerloo Line southbound because of an electrical fault, and minor delays northbound.
The Elizabeth Line was also suffering minor delays in the east between Shenfield and Whitechapel over a signal failure, while the Piccadilly Line also had minor delays.
