
Mile End Underground station has been closed while emergency services respond to a casualty on the tracks. Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that the station is currently shut to passengers as paramedics and police attend the incident.
The closure is affecting both the Central and District line services that run through the busy east London interchange. Trains are currently not stopping at Mile End, and passengers are being advised to complete their journeys using alternative routes.
TfL has announced that tickets are being accepted on the Elizabeth line and on London Bus services to help ease disruption for affected travellers. Commuters heading into central London or across East London are being urged to check live travel updates before setting out, as delays may continue while emergency teams remain on scene.
No further details have been released regarding the condition of the person involved, but emergency services are expected to remain at Mile End until the situation is resolved and the track is deemed safe for normal operation.

Disruption between Ascot / Woking and Aldershot expected until 11am
Friday 24 October 2025 08:38 , Nuray BulbulA broken down train between Frimley and Ash Vale is causing disruption to the shuttle services which run between Ascot and Aldershot. These services have been suspended whilst all lines are blocked.
There is also a signalling fault at Aldershot which means trains will have to run at reduced speeds on some lines from Woking towards Alton.
As a result of both incidents, trains running between Ascot / Woking and Aldershot may be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 11am.
Engineers are on site investigating and working towards rectifying the fault on the broken down train. More information will be provide more when it is available. There is no estimated time of when the lines are expected to reopen.
Residual disruption between Stafford and Wolverhampton expected until 08:45am
Friday 24 October 2025 08:25 , Nuray BulbulFollowing an operational incident at Penkridge, trains may still have to run at a reduced speed on the line running from Stafford towards Wolverhampton. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted.
Where trains are diverted, these may be revised to not call at some stations.
Disruption is expected until 08:45am.
