London Sugar Climbs Ahead of Thursday's March Contract Expiration

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) today is down -0.05 (-0.25%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH25) is up +14.10 (+2.65%).

Sugar prices today are mixed, with London sugar climbing to a 1-1/2 week high. NY sugar prices came under pressure today after India projected a "bumper" sugar crop for the 2025/26 season that will allow it to boost sugar exports. However, fund short covering boosted London sugar futures today, with Thursday the last trading day for the March London sugar contract.
