When Nicole Whittle went to grab a bite at Wagamama last year, she was disappointed. It wasn’t so much a case of what was on the menu as what was off it: one of the chain’s signature vegan dishes – the vegatsu – had been discontinued.
“The great vegan cull has now reached Wagamama,” she posted on Instagram. “All fake meats have been wiped out! UK vegans, I’m calling it, we’re officially in crisis.”
