'London needs a citywide e-bike and e-scooter licensing scheme now', ministers told

The delay in introducing a Londonwide licensing scheme for e-bikes and e-scooters is inhibiting the growth of “green” alternatives to the car, the Government has been warned.

There are thought to be at least 50,000 dockless e-bikes available for hire in the capital, with bike firms subject to different rules and restrictions in each borough.
