London leaver: 'We swapped Brentford for Bangkok, halved our rent to £800 and now work three days a week'

They work a three-day week. Their rather swanky flat costs half what they used to pay for their London apartment. And instead of meeting ducks during their regular runs in the parks of west London, they now enjoy spotting some considerably more exotic wildlife.

Just over a year ago Megan d’Ardenne, 28 and her boyfriend Alex Lee, 31, exchanged Brentford for Bangkok, living as digital nomads in the Thai capital.
