London jobs crisis: How the axe is falling on workers in shops, offices, pubs, factories and the City

Tens of thousands of jobs have been lost in London as businesses reel from Rachel Reeves’ economic plan and other blows, official figures reveal.

They show 30,000 construction jobs in the capital disappeared in the first nine months of last year after work on building sites ground to a halt in some boroughs.
