New York Fashion Week has wrapped, and the international fashion calendar is moving on to London. London Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2027 season begins Thursday, September 17, and runs through Monday, September 21, bringing established British houses, emerging designers, new-generation labels and a wider programme of cultural events to the capital.
The British Fashion Council's September 17 announcement describes this season's programme as a showcase of the breadth of the UK fashion community. The official programme features 47 catwalk shows, 23 presentations, 10 digital activations and 53 evening events, bringing together BFC NEWGEN designers, emerging talent, established houses and retail partners.
Among the biggest developments are the return of McQueen to London, Christopher Kane's debut collection for Mulberry and the continued presence of designers who have become closely associated with the London schedule. The week also puts considerable emphasis on emerging talent, with several designers making their LFW debuts.
McQueen Returns to London
McQueen is one of the major names returning to the official London Fashion Week schedule this season. Seán McGirr will present the house's Spring/Summer 2027 menswear and womenswear collection on Sunday, September 20 at 8 p.m., according to the current official LFW schedule.
The BFC describes the presentation simply as McQueen's return to London with McGirr. The designer's SS27 show is one of the most prominent appointments on the five-day calendar, coming toward the end of the weekend programme.
Sunday also brings another significant British fashion return. Mulberry by Christopher Kane is scheduled for 3 p.m. on September 20, with Kane presenting his debut collection for the house. The BFC previously confirmed Mulberry's return to the official schedule under Kane's creative direction.
The Sunday schedule is otherwise packed, with Simone Rocha opening the day's catwalk programme at 10 a.m., followed by Erdem at noon, Emilia Wickstead at 1 p.m., Roksanda at 5 p.m. and Onalaja at 6 p.m.
Established Names Share the Schedule With New Talent
London Fashion Week continues to bring together established British designers and newer names. The BFC's confirmed lineup includes Barbour, Burberry, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Harris Reed, Richard Quinn, Roksanda and Simone Rocha, alongside Aaron Esh, Ashley Williams, Chopova Lowena, KNWLS and Paolo Carzana.
The emerging-designer programme is also prominent. Francesca Lake, Gui Rosa and Petra Fagerström are making their LFW debuts as BFC NEWGEN recipients in partnership with PULL&BEAR. Returning NEWGEN recipients include Charlie Constantinou, E.W.USIE, Liza Keane, Octi, Oscar Ouyang, Pauline Dujancourt, The Ouze and Yaku.
Fashion East is returning to the official schedule with Goyagoma, Jacek Gleba and Mé Mé. The BFC has also added new-generation British menswear label Geordie Campbell, Joyce Bao, Indian label Lovebirds and Onalaja to this season's programme.
The schedule also includes a number of collaborations and special presentations. Nick Knight and SHOWstudio are working with H&M on a special event, while Patrick McDowell is partnering with Pandora for his catwalk show. Marks & Spencer is making its LFW debut with its first exclusive catwalk collection, part of its centenary-year programme.
Burberry Closes the Five-Day Programme
The final day, Monday, September 21, begins with appointments and presentations before moving into the day's catwalk schedule. Selasi is scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by Lovebirds at 11 a.m. and Di Petsa at noon. Tolu Coker will present at 12:30 p.m., while Liza Keane and Sól Hansdóttir appear later in the afternoon.
Burberry is scheduled to close the official catwalk programme at 7 p.m. on Monday. The house's appearance provides the final major runway appointment on the current LFW schedule before the week concludes.
London Fashion Week is also offering several opportunities beyond the invitation-only runway calendar. The BFC Jewellery Showcase at Dover Street Market is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, while Chopova Lowena's East London Clubhouse is open from September 17 through 19. The British Vogue x Nike Café at Corner Shop at 180 Strand will also be open to the public on September 19 and 20.
With McQueen and Mulberry returning, Burberry closing the official catwalk programme and a new group of designers entering the schedule, London Fashion Week SS27 brings together established houses, emerging talent and commercial partners across five days. The official programme also reflects the BFC's broader focus on presenting British fashion alongside international and cross-disciplinary creative voices.
