A political commentator held by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for more than two weeks is on his way home to London.

Sami Hamdi, who is Muslim, was detained by ICE officers at San Francisco International Airport in California on October 26 after the British citizen travelled to the US for a speaking tour.
