London Cocoa Posts a Record High as Supplies Shrink

Dec ICE NY cocoa (CCZ23) on Friday closed +42 (+1.16%), and Dec ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ23) closed +73 (+2.45%).

Cocoa prices Friday settled higher, with Dec London cocoa posting a contract high due to shrinking supplies and the outlook for reduced global cocoa production.  Cocoa prices have rallied sharply over the past three months, with NY cocoa posting a 12-year nearest-futures high (U23) last month and London cocoa posting an all-time high Friday (data from 1989).
