A bus driver has gone viral for spreading “joy” by spraying bubbles as he drives through east London.
The driver on the 106 service, which travels between Finsbury Park and Whitechapel, was filmed firing a bubble gun as he waited at the traffic lights in Bethnal Green.
Hundreds of positive comments have come flooding in after the video was shared widely on TikTok.
Londoners who regularly take the busy 106 route have been sharing their experiences of the cheerful driver as well as reminiscing about times when they spotted him making his way through Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
The video’s caption read: “Little London joys in Bethnal Green today.”

One Londoner said they spotted the bubbles as the bus past Clapton Pond, while a second person recalled seeing him close to the Brownswood pub, near Clissold Park.
A third person added that they saw him driving through Hackney Central.
One person commented on the viral TikTok post: “This bus driver deserves his flowers. Every single time I get on his bus my day is made.”
A second added: “That’s my favourite bus driver. I was on his bus like two weeks ago and it made my day.”
A third person commented: “Give this man a pay rise.”
London has a proud history of eccentric and talented bus drivers.
In 2021 it was revealed the former goalkeeper of the Nigerian national football team had begun driving on the number 185 between Lewisham and Victoria.
Rachael Aladi Ayegba played in the 2007 Women’s World Cup, the 2006 and 2008 African Women’s Championships and had an 11-year stint as a pro in Finland, winning the league title in 2013 with PK-35 Vantaa.
