London 2012: 10 years on, what is the true legacy of the Olympic Games?

It is often forgotten in the euphoria which followed that Team GB were slow starters at London 2012, day five producing the first gold medal, from rowers Helen Glover and Heather Stanning.

From there, home golds came on all but one of the remaining days, the highlight being the six on Super Saturday, three of them in barely 45 minutes inside the Olympic Stadium (including Mo Farah’s 10,000m).
