Surat: BJP is all set to open its account in Lok Sabha elections before even polling as Party's candidate from Surat in Gujarat has won this seat unopposed.
Earlier the Election Commission had rejected the nomination of Congress candidate Nilesh Kumbhani after his proposers claimed that they didn't sign his papers.
His three proposers claimed in an affidavit to the district election officer that they had not signed his nomination form.
Gujarat has a total of 26 Lok Sabha seats. Polling in the state is set to take place in the third phase on May 7.
