The Lok Sabha on Monday passed the Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2026, without debate and amid sloganeering by Opposition members, who were protesting the alleged police crackdown on students during a July 20 demonstration against the NEET paper leak.
Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal had introduced the Bill earlier in the day, which seeks to establish a National Tribunals Commission and create a uniform framework for the appointment and service conditions of chairpersons and members of various tribunals.
