The UK’s largest regional airline has announced service expansions from Edinburgh for summer 2023.
Loganair has announced more services across key regional routes in response to growing demand from tourists and business travellers from Edinburgh Airport.
Next summer, Loganair will add an additional daily flight on the Edinburgh to Southampton service and on the Edinburgh to Glasgow service.
The new evening flights will allow for “a later departure between the two cities.”

The planned increase means five daily flights will be scheduled between Edinburgh and Southampton next summer, and the increased services are “timed to plug a gap in the schedule, allowing customers to arrive in the Scottish capital early for a full day of business or sightseeing.”
Loganair will also expand on international services between Edinburgh and the capital of Fjord Norway. The service is set to increase with four flights per week next summer.
Loganair recommenced flights from Edinburgh to Bergen and Stavanger in Norway earlier this year due to significant interest in the route, and it has now added additional flights for business and leisure travellers next summer.
Loganair has also planned to operate a double daily service between Edinburgh and Exeter, up from 6 flights per week this summer.
Luke Lovegrove, chief commercial officer at Loganair, said: “Loganair has experienced its busiest summer ever this year, carrying a record number of customers across the UK and Europe and we expect Summer 2023 to be no different.
“We take great pride in facilitating growth in interconnectivity across the UK and by increasing our frequency on some of our key routes, we can better serve our customers.”
Loganair has also allocated an additional Embraer 145 aircraft for Edinburgh operations to support extra flights.
The new flight schedule will kick off on 19 June 2023. The new timetable goes on sale from today (5 October).
