Logan Paul doesn't believe Tommy Fury did enough to warrant handing his younger brother Jake a first boxing loss.
The younger Paul took a major step up in competition when he faced Fury in Saudi Arabia last weekend, and came up short despite dropping his opponent in the final round. But his brother believes the decision may have been wrong, questioning if the Brit should have celebrated as much as he did after such a close victory.
While bookies opened with Paul as a strong favourite, their odds lowered to an essentially even fight in the lead-up, which his elder brother believes is an indictment on Fury's ability. Having boxed his entire life as part of an iconic fighting family, the elder Paul feels Fury should have won by a wider margin in order to have such a major celebration.
“Congrats to the Furys, but did Tommy really win?” Logan said during an episode of BS With Jake Paul. “Technically yeah, but you’re going to celebrate that? You’re supposed to kill this YouTuber and it took you eight rounds to drop him. Congrats, but are you satisfied? Because as a boxer I don’t know if that would do it for me. On paper, you got it, congrats, but you celebrated like you won the World Cup.”
Logan has never won a boxing match, drawing and losing his first two efforts against KSI before going the distance with Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout in 2021. He is planning to return to the ring this year, likely on KSI's Misfits Boxing promotion where he was planning to fight this January.

His brother is now 6-1 as a professional boxer, and has dropped all six of his opponents since entering the sport in January 2020. Prior to his bout with Fury, his team inserted a rematch clause into the contract for their fight, which he is expected to exercise in order to immediately attempt to avenge the result.
Over the eight round contest, which was Fury's first in his nine fights, Paul looked unable to get going as he struggled to get inside his rival's lengthy jab. The Brit landed around double the punches that his rival did, although most of the bigger shots were landed on Paul's end.
There will be huge money on offer for a rematch between the pair, who both pocketed millions from the Middle Eastern showdown last weekend. Fury is believed to have made in the region of £2.5-4million, while Paul has claimed that he raked in $30million, which amounts to just over £25m.
