Logan Paul predicts brother Jake will beat Conor McGregor in crossover fight

Logan Paul believes that a fight between his brother Jake and UFC legend Conor McGregor is inevitable, and that the younger Paul will win.

The Irishman last weekend refused to rule out a fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who has amassed a respectable 5-0 record with four knockouts since turning professional in 2020.

And his older brother believes that not only will the fight take place in the coming years, but that McGregor will be unable to get the better of the much bigger Paul.

Speaking with Mirror Fighting in his role as an ambassador for the Slap Fighting Championship which broadcasts live this weekend, Paul said that he thinks the fight is going to happen sooner than later.

"I think it happens," Paul explained. "And I think Jake wins.

"Maybe it'll happen in the next two or three years, who cares bro? I'm more concerned with the crazy Hawaiian [Koa Viernes] slapping the s*** out of Zales [David Zalewski]."

It comes after McGregor told Mirror Fighting last Friday to "never say never" when it comes to a potential fight with Jake Paul after the YouTuber's latest knockout win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

McGregor is currently recovering from a broken leg suffered during his fight with Dustin Poirier last summer at UFC 264, and expects to be back in the octagon this summer.

But he is generally unfazed by the goings on of YouTube stars such as the Paul brothers, despite saying that Jake is not outside of the realms of possibility for a next opponent.

"Who knows?" McGregor replied when asked if he would consider Paul for a future fight. "Never say never."

The Irishman says that he wasn't watching Paul's stunning seventh round win over Woodley, but joked that it didn't perform very well at the box office.

"I wasn't actually watching it," McGregor said, speaking at the Bellator Dublin event in the 3Arena.

"It only did a couple of thousand buys, I didn't actually watch it I saw it online so no I didn't see it.

"I don't pay attention to that stuff."

Both Pauls are currently taking a break from the ring, with Jake coming off four fights in 13 months and Logan having fought Floyd Mayweather last summer in an exhibition.

Logan has indicated that he plans to return against Brazilian social media influencer Whindersson Nunes, while Jake is still searching for a next challenger.

Jake was supposed to face undefeated professional boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury last December.

But he appears to be over the prospect of fighting Fury at this stage, saying that he would need a star-making performance in his next but.

Fury will fight an as-yet unnamed opponent on the undercard of his brother Tyson's world heavyweight title defence against Dillian Whyte.

The younger Paul is currently focusing on promoting the upcoming undisputed lightweight title fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano alongside Eddie Hearn.
