Logan Paul believes that his brother Jake is "rewriting" the history of boxing as he prepares for his upcoming meeting with UFC legend Anderson Silva.
The Paul brothers have left an undeniable mark on the boxing world with their pay-per-view bouts over the past four years, but it's younger sibling Jake who has emerged as the legitimate fighter of the two. Logan has yet to win a fight after drawing with and losing to KSI before going the distance with Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition with no score.
Meanwhile, Jake is 5-0 as a professional boxer, with wins over former Bellator world champion Ben Askren, UFC champion Tyron Woodley, basketball star Nate Robinson and YouTuber AnEsonGib, who has won four boxing matches at various levels. He faces his first boxer with a winning record in Silva, who is a famed MMA striker and has beaten world champions in the boxing ring.
"My brother is fighting Anderson Silva, possibly the greatest striker in combat sports history on October 29 in Phoenix, Arizona," Logan said during the most recent episode of his podcast Impaulsive. "Jake is literally rewriting boxing history and it is so cool as his brother to see him fight someone who we looked up to for so long. Our entire lives Anderson Silva was our guy, our hero.
"We would buy every single UFC fight he fought at and we went to a fight in Cleveland, Ohio one time and Anderson Silva did a special guest appearance. We knew he was going to be at a VIP section taking pictures and Jake, as like an 11-year-old, started flirting with one of the ring girls, he was a player back then.
"He convinced her to bring us up on stage and take a picture with Anderson Silva, our hero. We took the picture and then now, 13 years later, we recreated the picture. It's on my Instagram, but moments like that are so special to me, I live for full-circle story arcs like that and I cannot wait to see what happens because this is a dangerous fight."

Logan believes that while Silva won't hold the same power as he did in his prime, when he was middleweight champion in a legendary UFC run, he will be the best fighter Jake has faced. The bout has been criticised due to the Brazilian's age; he is almost twice Paul's age at 47, but will undoubtedly prove a difficult test.
"Anderson Silva is a very good boxer," Logan continued. "He beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, he beat Tito Ortiz and Vitor Belfort [in his UFC run], so he is not to be taken lightly. Even though he's 47-years-old - it's a respect thing - I'm worried, he's a southpaw who has timing, technique, accuracy, skill.
"Just so you guys know, I asked Jake how he's feeling: Uber confident. Very confident, I'm done doubting Jake. I know he's going to win but I know it's going to be a hard fight. I think it's going to go all eight rounds, I'm getting flashbacks to Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 1, that went all eight rounds and Tyron is not nearly as good as Anderson Silva."
