Logan Paul forced to defend his views on controversial ex-kickboxer Andrew Tate

Logan Paul has revealed his supposed support for Andrew Tate was "sarcasm" and has labelled his rival's views as "ridiculous s***".

The YouTube star has been heavily linked with a fight against controversial ex-kickboxer Tate who has gained notoriety online for his contentious views in recent years. Paul has previously offered words of support for Tate during his rise, but since the pair have been linked with a boxing fight he has been much more critical of the four-time kickboxing champion.

Tate has recently been banned from most mainstream social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook which is largely down to his controversial views on women. And Paul has now revealed that he has never liked Tate since his rise to fame, and has hit out at his "ridiculous" opinions.

"Mike and I, primarily Mike [Majlak] but by default because I'm in Mike's content made a lot of content around Andrew Tate upon the time Andrew Tate was popping off," Paul said during an interview with UFC star Sean O'Malley when discussing his opinion on potential boxing rival Tate. "It was hilarious to us. This guy was saying ridiculous s***. Like absolutely ridiculous s*** that we found amusing, we found entertaining. I find him entertaining and captivating.

"What he talks like, I am either listening to him say something that actually makes absolutely no f**king sense in real life or is the statement so bold that it is repulsive... I think people misunderstood what to us was very clearly satire and sarcasm as like a respect or liking to Tate. But I have never liked Tate. I find him amusing the same way you find a clown amusing."

Paul and Tate have held talks over a boxing fight ever since the current WWE star issued the call-out during a podcast with his brother Jake. Since then the fighters have exchanged verbal barbs with Tate suggesting he would step back in the ring for free, before contradicting his claim and demanding he is the A-side in negotiations.

It appeared his stance would be irrelevant initially with Paul reluctant to hand his rival a platform given his ban from a number of social media platforms. However the star has now rekindled the chance for a potential fight and is willing to give his rival a platform despite admitting the clash will likely not happen.

"I have said what I said that I didn't feel like platforming him," Paul continued. "But then this motherf***** starts talking a lot of s***. And maybe I would take the opportunity to platform him for one night and turn his face inside out. Have him wheeled out on a stretcher with his brother holding his hand in an ambulance. The thought of that is compelling and I like the idea of f***ing up Andrew Tate."
