Logan Paul claims Floyd Mayweather got "tapped up" in exhibition KO win

Logan Paul believed Floyd Mayweather got "punched more than ever" in his latest KO victory over Mikuru Asakura.

Mayweather fought in his latest exhibition fight last weekend when he recorded an emphatic KO victory over Japanese MMA star Asakura at the Saitama Super Arena. This was his second boxing showcase in the country, with his original clash against kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa ending in a similar fashion in 2018.

The boxing legend will continue to fight in exhibition fights after his win and will next share the ring with YouTuber Deji at the Coca-Cola Aren a on November 13. However Paul issued a verdict of Mayweather's win on Twitter, writing: "Seen Floyd get tapped up by a nobody. Should I fight him again & become the only person to KO Floyd Mayweather?"

He later explained his analysis of the fight, suggesting that Mayweather is starting to show signs of his age at 47-years-old. He said during the latest episode of his Impaulsive podcast : "Here is the caveat. He fought this past weekend in Japan for a bag. He fought an MMA fighter and he got tapped up. His age is showing.

"He got tapped up and hit in the face like we have never seen Floyd Mayweather get hit in the face by a Japanese nobody MMA fighter. It is very obvious he is getting older in front of our eyes. Then he finished him in round two probably because he was like maybe I miscalculated him and didn't know how hard or easy to go on this guy.

"We know Floyd he is very smart and wants to put on a show and is a great entertainer. So I think he is going to go in there and feel Deji out but I don't see this going past three rounds."

Mayweather has looked comfortable in all of his exhibition fights including against Paul, despite not being able to stop the YouTube star as promised during their exhibition outing last June. However the event was a huge success, with the event selling one-million pay-per-views and seeing him continue to fight in the ring outside of the professional ranks.

Paul was delighted with his display in his eight-round clash with Mayweather, which saw him survive the eight rounds and his brother boldly declare that he had won the fight. The content creator backed up the opinion of his sibling and believes that he did enough to win the showdown.

"I didn't lose it was an exhibition," Paul said. "I didn't lose there was no loser. I mean I am going to be honest with you, I think I won that fight. He didn't knock a YouTuber out in eight rounds and he guaranteed a KO in that press conference. I don't know if there is a world where you can take away from that fight that Floyd won."
