Nessie hunters are being offered a massive £25,000 reward to provide proof that the famous monster is living in the Scottish loch.
The gauntlet has been thrown down for fans of the Loch Ness Monster by celebrity businessman Dave Fishwick, also known as 'Bank of Dave'.
He told ITV's This Morning that he was ready to part with £25,000 to anybody who can uncover the mystery of the elusive legend.
The self-made millionaire was at the opening of the refurbished Loch Ness Centre in Drumnadrochit on the 90th anniversary of the first sighting of Nessie when he unexpectedly announced the prize fund.
The new centre, which will open to the public this Saturday, will provide important background information over past decades to fledgling Nessie hunters.
Juliana Delaney, Chief Executive of Continuum, said: "We are absolutely delighted that Dave shares our enthusiasm and passion around this global phenomenon.
"As we look to open our doors, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the legend, and then get to search the famous loch themselves, armed with further knowledge.
"We wish everyone luck in their search, we know we will be watching the iconic loch ourselves. As the Loch Ness Centre says ‘Keep Looking’."
The reopening of the Loch Ness Centre is 90 years on from the famous Nessie sighting at the old Drumnadrochit Hotel, where manager Mrs Aldie Mackay reported seeing a 'water beast' in Loch Ness, reported the Daily Record.
The new centre will take visitors through 500 million years of history, as well as the scientific research behind the global phenomenon that is the Loch Ness Monster.
During the one-hour experience, guests will become part of the quest, discovering the real stories and meeting the many real and historic characters associated with the search for the truth about Loch Ness and Nessie.
Voyage seekers will also have the chance to explore the depths of the world's most famous Loch with Deepscan Captain Alistair Matheson. Guests can now book a trip onboard the vessel, named after a famous expedition carried out on the Loch in 1987.
The one-of-a-kind cruise takes up to 12 guests on a "very special" journey where they will be able to witness the breathtaking beauty of Urquhart Castle and search the depths of the Loch themselves using specialist sonar equipment on board.
