New plans to create a £40m “tourist resort” on the shores of Loch Lomond including more than 200 rooms and a monorail are facing renewed opposition over concerns about their scale and impact.
Yorkshire-based firm Flamingo Land has re-submitted a planning application to build the £40 million destination after making “fundamental changes” to its original plans.
The organisation was forced to withdraw their original application more than two years ago following a similar campaign led by the Green party, which saw 50,000 objections lodged with the Loch Lomond National Trossachs Park whose officers recommended the application not be granted.
