One of Channel 4's most popular programmes, house-hunting show Location, Location, Location headed to Newcastle and Northumberland for its latest episode - and revealed Kirstie Allsopp's bizarre hatred for a common household object.
Whilst touring a gorgeous property with a good-sized living room, presenter Kirstie, 50, took one look at the vertical blinds on the living room window and turned away in disgust. "I have a pathological dislike for what I call dentist's blinds!" she said.
Whilst we all like and dislike different things - and have different styles when it comes to interior design - Kirstie's bizarre comment has caused a bit of a stir on social media.

One viewer took to Twitter to say that Kirsty was being a "snob" by turning her nose up at the normal, vertical blinds, whilst another admitted she was now thinking about changing her blinds. "I must think about changing the 'dentist blinds' in our garden room," the viewer wrote on social media. "Kirstie doesn't approve."
Another viewer, however, said vertical blinds are a "turn off" when viewing or visiting a property. "Totally with you on the vertical blinds front, absolutely detest them," the viewer said. "They should never be installed in residential properties, such a huge turn off. Great to have you back [on screen] guys."
"Ha! Me too [I hate the blinds]. Office blinds, horrible," remarked another viewer.

Wednesday's episode is the first of series 37 and comes just months after series 36 offended viewers by suggesting that a £600,000 budget is a "struggle". In the episode that aired on October 6, 2021, co-presenters Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer were tasked with helping two couples find their perfect homes in the Cheshire area.
Retired couple Tom and Anne were looking for a home between Warrington and Macclesfield so they could be close to their family in Manchester, having already looked at 40 properties. Tom and Anne, who grew up in Cheshire, had a huge budget of £600,000 to try and find their dream home and were looking for a property with lots of space for the whole family to enjoy.
But viewers were left stunned that even with that budget they still weren't able to find a home, reported CheshireLive. One viewer wrote on social media: "600k budget. How hard can it be to find a ****ing house with that kind of coin? You don't need Phil and Kirsty. You need a kick up the hoop!" Another said: "Ah, the poor souls struggling to find a place for 2 people for £600k. Up North."
You can catch Location, Location, Location on Channel 4, Wednesdays at 8pm.
