HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old instant loan app's recovery agent from Bihar has been arrested by Cyber Crime sleuths for harassing a woman loanee by sending her obscene morphed photos to people in her contacts list.
The accused, Manish Kumar, 23, from Gopalpur Koti in Siwan district of Bihar, was arrested by a team of Cyber Crime sleuths of the Hyderabad police commissionerate for blackmailing and harassing the complainant two days ago. He was brought to the city on Saturday and remanded in judicial custody.
Manish confessed that he along with a friend, Vikas Kumar, from Delhi, had been indulging in loan recovery work for app operators. "Vikas sends details of the customer to Manish. After regular threatening calls, Manish morphs the photos of the victim using an app and sends them to her kin and all the contacts," Cyber Crime police said. Police launched a manhunt to nab Vikas to gather more details.
