LL Bean partners with Dunkin’ to give your coffee cup a tiny little sweater

It’s officially the first day of fall, and two brands are welcoming the cozy season with a special collaboration.

Dunkin’ and L.L.Bean have teamed up to launch a collection of tiny accessories for your seasonal iced latte, including a sweater-inspired sleeve and a miniature version of L.L.Bean’s signature tote bag, the Boat and Tote.

The companies launched the collaboration September 22, the first day of fall, with more items arriving on National Coffee Day, September 29.

Starting Tuesday, customers nationwide can get a mini L.L.Bean sweater for their Dunkin’ cup in the coffee chain’s signature colors, pink and orange, with any drink purchase while supplies last.

Customers in Maine, L.L.Bean’s home state, also have the chance to receive a mini Boat and Tote that fits around a Dunkin’ cup.

On National Coffee Day, the collaboration expands to include a human-sized version of the sweater ($79.95) and a full-size Dunkin’ themed Boat and Tote ($59.95).

The full-sized tote bag features L.L.Bean’s signature canvas with pink straps and an orange base, in a nod to Dunkin’s iconic colors. It features both brands’ logos in the center.

“L.L.Bean and Dunkin’ are iconic brands that have called New England home for decades,” said Nick Wilkoff, chief marketing officer at L.L.Bean, in a release.

“We love collaborations that feel authentic to the way people actually live,” said Jill Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’.

“From morning coffee runs to weekends outside, Dunkin' and L.L.Bean have been part of many of the same routines and traditions for decades. Bringing them together just felt right.”

L.L.Bean’s Seaport location will host a preview on Sunday, September 27, with free coffee, sweet treats and an early chance to pick up the limited-edition accessories.

The collaboration follows the coffee chain’s announcement that it would be partnering with Walmart, which now offers Dunkin’ drinks and meals delivered with its groceries nationwide. The partnership, announced earlier this month, initially covers the 150 Dunkin’ locations inside Walmart stores nationwide.

The service will eventually expand to the majority of Dunkin’s nearly 10,000 U.S. locations outside Walmart stores, giving customers a way to order Dunkin’ alongside groceries, household essentials and other Walmart purchases.
