Lizzo flew into Glasgow from Paris a day early to explore some of the city's cafes and bars - and even enjoyed a romantic mini golf date with her partner ahead of her concert at the OVO Hydro.
The Grammy award-winning US star couldn’t wait to try out some of the local haunts in Scotland's biggest city ahead of her show.
Fresh from a cheeky performance in France the previous night, where she bared her bottom and twerked for the delighted crowds, the singer was in a more sedate mood as she hopped off a private jet and pulled up at her Glasgow hotel late on Monday evening.
On Tuesday, the About Damn Time songstress rested up and stayed in her hotel for most of the day before being spotted venturing out sporting a pair of sunglasses at around 6:45pm.
The three-time Grammy winner ventured out to the Devil of Brooklyn cocktail bar in the old Fratelli Sarti building in Renfield Street with her date, comedian and actor boyfriend Myke Wright.
The couple spent 40 minutes inside before returning with a bodyguard to their waiting car.
The couple were dressed casually with Lizzo wearing her Yitty branded leisure suit and her date in a black hooded top and jeans.
The pair then headed off to the city’s Clydeside where they popped in for a round of golf at Golf Fang in Lancefield Street.
One of the workers excitedly wrote on social media: “Lizzo was in my establishment last night and I truly hope she played the best round of golf she has ever experienced!”
The star had also booked a private table at the city’s Delmonica’s bar, which they held for her all night but, much to the disappointment of regulars, she proved to be a no show.
An insider said: “We were told to expect Lizzo and had a table set aside for her for the night but she never came which was a real shame.”
Lizzo, aka Melissa Viviane Jefferson, plays Glasgow tonight (Wednesday, March 8) as part of her long-awaited world tour which is visiting a number of international and UK locations like London, Manchester, Chicago, New York and Stockholm.
