Liz Truss has appointed her new Cabinet after taking over from Boris Johnson as Prime Minister - and her pals have secured all the top jobs.

The new PM has axed the Rishi Sunak supporters around the top table and replaced them with right-wing loyalists who backed her in the leadership contest.

Her top team is meeting this morning to consider a plan to freeze energy bills in order to save households and businesses from financial ruin.
