
Liz Truss has had a difficult start to her tenure as prime minister since succeeding Boris Johnson as leader of the Tory party. After crashing the pound and with inflation soaring, she has not always made the most convincing case for her aptitude, especially given that the top job is one that often requires initiative and quick wit.
In successive ministerial posts leading to her most recent stint leading the Foreign Office, she has never been too many words away from embarrassing herself, her party or her country.
