Livingston Women's winger Alina Kerl believes she's at the 'perfect' club and hopes she can prove herself in the next two games as the Lionesses close out the season.
Livi travel to Ayr United tomorrow before taking on Rossvale at home next week in the final game of what has been a title-winning SWF Championship campaign.
Kerl has had to be patient since arriving at the Tony Macaroni Arena a few weeks ago - but she admitted she knew that would be the case given the club's lofty league position.
Now the title is in the bag following last week's dramatic 3-3 draw at home to Renfrew, she's hoping she'll be given an opportunity to shine in the next two games and is determined to make the most of any minutes handed to her by gaffer Paul Jaconelli.
The German ace commented: "It's been really good being at Livingston. It's been everything I could have asked for and it feels like the perfect club. There's a huge positive atmosphere from everyone and it's been really enjoyable.
"I started out in Germany then moved over here for university and played at Stirling. With Covid I wasn't able to play for a while and then I was out injured so I've not been able to play as much as I'd have liked for a while.
"It was time for a new challenge. Obviously I've had to be patient but I'm hoping I can play some minutes in these final two games. The girls have been amazing - they were top of the league so I knew I wouldn't play much, I'd have done the same if I was the coach - you need to stick with a winning team. But I'm looking at these two games as hopefully a chance."
She added: "It would be nice to get some minutes and there's other girls who have been brilliant in training but maybe have had to wait so if we can play that would be great.
"I came in at the start of March as a trialist and then Paul said he wanted to keep me. I couldn't say yes fast enough - it was a quick chat to sign. I've been here long enough now to feel really part of it and I'd love to stay for longer too but that might have to depend on my studies as I'm looking to do a Masters.
"I'm just focusing first on these two games and being ready to prove my worth to the team if I get called to play."
