Livingston Women's coach Paul Jaconelli says he's 'delighted' with his team's start to the season.
The Lionesses currently sit atop the third-tier SWF Championship with two wins and a draw from their three games. Headed goals late in both halves from Jess Murphy and Ashley Fish helped guide them to a 2-0 home win over Ayr United on Sunday.
And they'll be aiming to continue their unbeaten start this weekend with a trip to Rossvale.
Jaconelli said: "I'm delighted with the start that we've had to the season and I think we're in a really good place just now.
"We're top of the table on merit and we've been dogged in our performances and really grinding out results. We're winning games this season maybe in the same manner that we lost them last season so that's pleasing. It's a big psychological boost.
"We won our battles against Ayr and then ultimately the skill showed and brought us the two goals to win the game."
He added: "It's going to be a very tight league and every point gained or dropped has the potential to be crucial come the end of the season so we have to make sure that we continue in the manner we have started.
"We're in a better place than this time last year and having a proper pre-season has been a big part of that. The fitness levels are right up there and the team's starting to gel. We've got some terrific players and hopefully the more games under our belt, we just keep improving."
