Livingston midfielder Jason Holt has failed in his bid to have his red card against Hibs overturned.
That means he will miss the upcoming games against Motherwell and Ross County with the club set to find out later today if Scott Pittman will suffer the same fate.
Holt was shown a straight red for a challenge on Kevin Nisbet after 15 minutes at Easter Road on Saturday. The game was scoreless at that point with Livi going on to lose 4-0.
Lions gaffer David Martindale said after the game that he wasn’t convinced the incident was even a foul, let alone a red card, but an SFA independent panel ruled referee Craig Napier had made the correct call.
A club spokesperson said: “The club is incredibly disappointed to confirm that our appeal against the red card shown to Jason Holt at the weekend has been unsuccessful.
“With that said, we accept the decision made by the independent panel and Jason will now be suspended for our next two fixtures.”
