Queen of the South have named Livingston assistant manager Marvin Bartley as their new boss.
It will be the first top gig in a managerial capacity for the 36-year-old, who had been assistant to David Martindale for the last 18 months.
Bartley will take over at the League One club following the departure of Willie Gibson last month. The Doonhamers were relegated to the third tier at the end of last season and currently sit in eighth place following today's 2-1 home loss to Alloa Athletic. He will take up his position on Monday.
Martindale said: "I have a mixture of emotions in terms of feeling both delighted for Marvin but sad that we’re losing him from the football club.
“He has been with us for four seasons now and hand on heart I can say he is genuinely a fantastic person and has a huge future in the world of football management.
“I’m losing a friend on a day-to-day basis and a huge part of what we do at Livingston, but I am delighted for him at the same time.
“He will always be welcome back and goes with everyone’s best wishes.”
