The thing that Andy Nichols loves most about her neighbourhood is not its amazingly fast train links, the plentiful green spaces, great schools, or even the many cool cafes and restaurants she can walk to.

It is the atmosphere. “East Dulwich is just very friendly, and quite villagey,” says Andy, who moved to SE22 with her husband back in 2010.
