Britney Spears is reportedly planning a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in order for her to share "her truth".
The 40-year-old Toxic singer is said to have "reached boiling point" after her ex-husband Kevin Federline's interview, where he discussed Britney's relationship with their sons Sean, 16, and 15-year-old Jayden.
Britney and her husband Sam Asghari hit back after Kevin claimed her sons haven't seen her in months and the teens find her naked Instagram snaps "tough" but now the singer is reportedly planning an interview of her own.
Singer Britney is said to have been contacted by Oprah, 68, via her lawyer Matthew Rosengart and she is said to have felt inspired after seeing her chat with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A source has told new! magazine: "Britney wants the world to know her truth.
"She is livid with her father and ready to fire back at Kevin. The pressure cooker of the past few months since the conservatorship ending has fired her up.
"Working on her memoir has also triggered a desire to be more forthright. Oprah has secrecy reached out to Britney through her lawyer, Matthew Rosengart with an open offer."
The Mirror has contacted Britney's representatives for comment.
Despite Britney feeling keen to do the chat with Oprah, who also recently interviewed Adele following her divorce, there are said to be "concerns" from those close to the Gimme More star about the possibility of the interview being live.
But, Britney is said to be feeling hurt that after coming out of her 13 year-long conservatorship she still has people discussing her private life.
Another source added to the publication: "She just thinks it's a real kick in the teeth to have finally been let out of this conservatorship but to still have people speaking about her private life and kids."
Following the end of her conservatorship last year, Britney worked on a memoir which she has since completed.
However, according to TMZ, a paper shortage has delayed the book's release.
Britney was recently reported to have wrapped up the writing of the book, set to be published by Simon & Schuster, but their planned release date of January is said to have been scuppered due to a paper shortage.
And as there is reportedly no clear date on when the shortage will be resolved, a new release date is yet to be firmed up.
Britney hasn't let the delay in the release of her book stop her from sharing her truth, though as the star recently shared a lengthy statement to discuss her relationship with her sons and recall them being "hateful" towards her.
Writing in the lengthy post, the mum-of-two said: "I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with … but COME ON.
"There’s being rude then there’s being HATEFUL," she continued. "They would visit me, walk in the door, go straight to their room and lock the door !!!
"The MONITOR would tell me that he just likes to be in his room.
"i’m like why come visit me if they don’t even visit me !!!"
