Liverpool’s pursuit of a quadruple continues as they visit Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup this afternoon but they will be without the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The defender was forced to pull out of the England camp for their friendlies with the Ivory Coast and Switzerland later this month and, despite having a strong squad in other areas, Jurgen Klopp does not have a specialist right-back in reserve.
Klopp is not certain about James Milner’s availability either, meaning either Joe Gomez comes into the side.
Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah is not risked having only been fit enough for a bit-part role against Arsenal, particularly with Egypt facing a World Cup play-off next week.
With an international break ahead, the need to rotate isn’t quite as pressing and Forest have certainly proven they can punch above their weight. For that reason, it seems a strong team will be deployed.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Matip, Tsimikas; Fabinho, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Elliott, Firmino, Jota
