“Ibou trained with us yesterday and trains with us today and will be in the squad tomorrow,” Slot told reporters on Friday morning.
Curtis Jones will also return after missing the Qarabag game in midweek through illness, but he is named on the bench.
However, Joe Gomez, who was taken off injured in the 3-2 defeat by Bournemouth last weekend, remains sidelined.
Jeremie Frimpong limped off inside the opening five minutes on Wednesday night and will play no part against Newcastle, though his injury is not as bad as initially feared.
"He will definitely not be in the squad tomorrow so he's out for a few weeks,” Slot revealed. "It's not as bad as we [first] thought, so something positive from something not so positive.
“Curtis is again available, he was sick as I said but he is available.
“Joe will not be available but that does not have to take much longer anymore, but he will not be available for the weekend.”

With no senior right-back available, it will be Dominik Szoboszlai tasked to fill in.
Alexander Isak and Giovanni Leoni are the two longer-term absentees for the Reds, while Federico Chiesa returned to action off the bench against Qarabag, marking his comeback with a goal.
