Liverpool will be preparing for another European night under the lights at Anfield against Benfica as they look to capitalise on their two-goal lead after last week's 3-1 win. Jurgen Klopp's side will be looking to maintain their impressive 2022 run of form
The Reds are the heavy favourites with Betfred at 2/7 while Benfica are 9/1 longshots to get just a win and a draw is 11/2. It will be a tough ask to even get a victory for the Portuguese side especially when Liverpool have only lost once in all competitions.
After drawing at Manchester City in the Premier League, their attention will turn to Champions League action before facing City again but in the FA Cup semi-final. The elusive quadruple is still up for grabs but a few more heavyweight showdowns await them if they are to achieve history.

It was always going to be a tall order for Benfica to give Liverpool a tough match and with the uphill task of chasing a two-goal deficit, it is clear to see that the Reds are the favourites to progress. However, there is still a chance to watch a couple of players perform on the night - Darwin Nunez being one of them.

Team stats
Both sides in matches involving Liverpool have scored in 21 matches from 50 in all competitions including five in the Champions League. For Benfica, it is 29 matches in all competitions including four in Europe. Both teams to score 8/11.
Liverpool have finished 30 matches in all competitions with three or more total goals including five in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Benfica have finished 32 matches this way and six in Europe too. Over 2.5 goals is 2/5.
Players to watch
I am expecting Klopp to rotate with the FA Cup semi-final to consider too plus a two-goal margin at home. With that in mind, I am going to back Roberto Firmino to be the difference for the Reds. The Brazilian has been pushed down the pecking order thanks to Diogo Jota's efforts this season but the forward still has plenty to offer and shows just how strong their depth is in attack. He is 5/4 to score anytime.
For Benfica, the Reds will need to be wary of Darwin Nunez and the threat he poses. The Uruguayan has been linked with a big money move in the summer including a number of Premier League clubs.
H2H
This will be the 11th meeting between the two sides with Liverpool picking up seven wins and four losses to Benfica in all competitions. This will be the 14th times a Portuguese club will be welcomed at Anfield with the Reds losing only twice in that time - including one of the five matches against Benfica at home. They won the other four meetings.
