Champions League hangs in the balance this weekend for Liverpool as they welcome European hopefuls Aston Villa to Anfield in this weekend's round of Premier League matches. The Reds can keep their top four hopes alive with a win against the Villains but could gift Newcastle a top four finish if the visitors come home with three points.
The Reds are the favourites at 4/9 with Betfred to keep their Champions League hopes alive while Villa are 11/2 to put pressure on Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Europa League football and a draw is 18/5. Jurgen Klopp's side have won nine of their last 10 league encounters against Villa - with the 7-2 defeat at Villa Park being the exception.
Meanwhile, Unai Emery will be looking to keep their winning form going after winning a huge six-pointer against Tottenham Hotspur last week - completing a league double over their European rivals. It puts Villa firmly in contention to secure their first place for European qualification since 2010 but this could still go right until the final match of the season with a home match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
