A huge night on the Rangers calendar for this season beckons on Tuesday when they travel to Liverpool in the Champions League.
Games like this are why Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men were so keen to qualify for the group stages of Europe's major tournament, but they'll be aiming to do a lot more than just show up. Losses in their first two Group A fixtures against Ajax and Napoli meaning that Rangers really need to gain something from their two matches against Jurgen Klopp's side this month.
Van Bronckhorst may view this as the perfect time to take on the 2022 finalists, who are marooned in mid-table in the Premier League and lacking in confidence after their shaky start to the season got worse with a 3-3 home draw with Brighton on Saturday. Rangers meanwhile prepared for this one with a return to form at Tynecastle, winning 4-0 against Hearts to set themselves up nicely for a crack at one of the world's big guns.
