Nat Phillips made his second appearance for Liverpool Under-21s on Sunday as the defender played 45 minutes in a 3-1 win over Fulham.
The defender was denied a move away from Anfield in the summer after spending last season on loan at Bournemouth, but could be set for minutes in the Carabao Cup during the week.
Liverpool take on League One side Derby County in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp is set to make changes to his starting XI.

Barry Lewtas' side took the lead after five minutes thanks to Melkamu Frauendorf before Jarell Quansah doubled Liverpool's lead not long after, with Phillips taking the assist for this goal.
Olly Sanderson halved Liverpool's lead just after half-time, but the fit-again Layton Stewart restored the Reds' two-goal advantage as they rose to second in the league - one point behind Arsenal.
Bobby Clark, along with Phillips, was also withdrawn at half-time possibly hinting at his involvement in the squad with the first team on Wednesday night.
