With two weeks to go until the January transfer window slams shut, some Liverpool fans are worried about the club's lack of business, especially in the midfield department.
The Reds have made just one signing this month after Cody Gakpo made the £45million switch from PSV to bolster Liverpool's attack. However, Jurgen Klopp's focus could now turn to midfield after Jamie Carragher called on the Reds to bring in a midfielder following the 3-1 defeat against Brentford earlier this month.
Jude Bellingham has been one of the many players linked with the Reds, while Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister and Leicester star Youri Tielemans have also been named as possible targets. Meanwhile, Liverpool have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat.
So, with that in mind, here are the latest rumours from Anfield.
Kehl confirms no Bellingham offers
Borussia Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl has revealed that the club have received no offers for midfielder Jude Bellingham amid rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool.
The 19-year-old has been a long-term target of the Reds after impressing at Dortmund in the Bundesliga and the Champions League but a move for Bellingham could be complicated.
"Jude has made an incredible development here. With the way he plays football, his fighting spirit and his commitment, he has become a real Borussia player who identifies very much with BVB," Kehl told Kicker.
"I can't say today if and when that will be the case with Jude, and from a purely sporting point of view I would be stupid to want to give up Jude Bellingham. We'll talk to him and his parents in due course. There is currently no pressure. Jude wants to concentrate fully on football. And by the way, there are no offers at all."
Amrabat 'not for sale'
Fiorentina chief Joe Barone has claimed that Liverpool target Sofyan Amrabat is "not for sale" - putting a major dent in the Reds' pursuit of the midfielder.
Klopp's side have been linked with a big-money move for Amrabat after he impressed for Monaco at the World Cup, with Spurs also tipped to sign the player. Fiorentina are, however, eager to point out that no approaches for any of their most prized assets will be considered, including reported Leicester target Nico Gonzalez.
Viola CEO Barone has told DAZN of the speculation that continues to rage around star turns in Florence: "I can now confirm that Sofyan Amrabat and Nico Gonzalez are not for sale. The president, Commisso, already said that. I can confirm the same for both Gonzalez and Amrabat."
Reds sent warning about "panic" buys
Former Liverpool star Don Hutchison has warned the Reds not to "panic" in the transfer window amid their interest in Amrabat. Hutchison believes Liverpool should avoid the midfielder, with better options availiable.
“They have to make sure they don’t panic . I have seen Amrabat at the World Cup. He had a brilliant World Cup for Morocco," Hutchison told ESPN.
"He hasn’t been that good for Fiorentina for 18 months, so you can’t just panic and look at these players and think ‘that’s the one I need’. Make sure you get the right one."
