Liverpool continue to be linked with transfer options as the summer window edges towards its second week.
The Reds are firmly in position to acquire a second midfielder following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister. Their engine room has three options edging towards or in their 30s and with the departure of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, reinforcements are needed.
A defensive addition isn't entirely off the table either, with that department next in line for replenishing with Ibrahima Konate the youngest first-team regular at 24. Joel Matip has a year remaining on his current deal and has been subject to speculation over his future at Anfield.
Eyes are currently fixed on the U21 European Championships as fans look to catch a glimpse of some of their targets with Gabri Veiga, Khephren Thuram, Ryan Gravenberch and Micky Van de Ven in action.

Here is your round-up of the latest Liverpool transfer rumours.
Federico Chiesa
Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa remains linked with a move to Liverpool as the Serie A giants face financial difficulties.
They faced a points deduction last season which saw them fall outside the Champions League places and as a result, they are facing economic problems due to the lack of revenue from the elite European competition. In recent months, there has been speculation over some of their star players including Dusan Vlahovic and Chiesa who could be sold to free up funds this summer.
Liverpool are said to be in the conversation as they reportedly track the 2020 European Championships winner and are "ready" to table an offer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Jurgen Klopp is said to like the Italian and bid of around €40m (£34m) would open the negotiations.
However, Massimiliano Allegri's side are reportedly holding out for €60m (£51m).
Khephren Thuram
Liverpool remain in talks to sign OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to David Lynch of Football Insider.
The Reds have emerged as frontrunners for the France U21 international with the Ligue 1 outfit said to be keen for a bidding war to cash in on the 22-year-old.
The report from Football Insider says that a deal for Thuram is possible but Holland and Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch could emerge as a key target if they fail to acquire the son of iconic French defender, Lilian.
Gravenberch is among the list of candidates for the Reds this summer but question marks remain over his future in Bavaria as Thomas Tuchel mulls over his options in the middle.
Arda Guler
A fresh name to be linked with Liverpool is Fenerbahce talent Arda Guler.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Jurgen Klopp's side are among the list of suitors for the Turkish midfielder but they are joined by heavy-hitters in Real Madrid, AC Milan, Benfica and Sevilla - who are said to be leading the race.
It has been claimed that he has a £15m release clause in his current deal which has sparked some of Europe's elite's interest.
He has been dubbed the 'Turkish Messi' and recently hit the headlines for his superb curling strike against Wales during their recent European Championships qualifier.
