Liverpool are upping the pressure in their pursuit of Jude Bellingham and may have forced rivals Real Madrid to explore alternative options, according to Sky Sports Germany.
Bellingham is no doubt set to be the world's most in-demand player in the summer after an outstanding start to his domestic season with Borussia Dortmund. The teenager is currently starring for England in their World Cup campaign and started all three of their games as the Three Lions topped Group B and set up a Sunday evening round-of-16 tie against Senegal.
The Reds are thought to be one of several massive admirers of Bellingham, but face stiff competition from the likes of Madrid and Manchester City for the 19-year-old's signature. That being said, Jurgen Klopp's side are said to be among the favourites to sign the teenager.

Reports in Germany suggest Liverpool are 'putting the pressure on' as they push to act swiftly and before any of their financially superior rivals. Such is the Anfield club's progress in negotiating any deal for the midfielder, that Spanish giants Madrid are said to be exploring alternative options despite making contact with Bellingham's representatives months ago.
Spanish outlet Marca report that Carlo Ancelotti's side are weighing up a move for Benfica star - also liked by Liverpool - Enzo Fernandez. They add that a combination of abundant and fierce competition from the Premier League, plus Bellingham's value likely sky-rocketing after a successful World Cup campaign has forced Madrid to cast their net a little wider.
Argentinian midfielder Fernandez joined Benfica last summer for just €12million, but strong form domestically and a solid showing in Qatar thus far - he's started all three games - has seen that price-tag increase massively. The 21-year-old is contracted until 2027 and Roger Schmidt's side have no intention of selling their star in January unless his €120million release clause is activated, according to Fabrizio Romano.
