Liverpool will donate any fresh food for tomorrow’s now-postponed game against Wolves to several local community initiatives.
The Reds’ clash with Bruno Lage’s side has been cancelled alongside all football in the United Kingdom, following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, aged 96, on Thursday.
A decision was made by the FA on Friday morning to cancel this weekend’s football across the country, with the entire football pyramid - from Premier League to grassroots - postponed as a mark of respect.

A spokesperson from the club has said: "Liverpool managed to pause a lot of the food preparation ahead of Saturday's game against Wolves. Fresh food that was prepared has been getting donated to the local community since 9am Friday morning and will continue all day on Saturday. This includes 30 trollies of fresh sandwiches.
"Donations have gone to Whitechapel Centre for the homeless, Victory Outreach youth hostel, L30 Community Centre, two schools in Anfield, Fans Supporting Foodbanks and L6 Community Centre."
A Premier League statement read: “At a meeting this morning, Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game.
"This is aligned with the approach that The FA and EFL will take with their competitions this weekend. Further updates regarding Premier League fixtures during the period of mourning will be provided in due course."
The short notice of postponements means food ordered for the weekend’s games risks going to waste, but Liverpool will instead donate all perishable products to a number of local initiatives, including the Whitechapel Centre, Victory Outreach, and Fans Supporting Foodbanks.
