Liverpool team news for Fulham as Darwin Nunez one of three changes

Jurgen Klopp makes three changes to his Liverpool team as Darwin Nunez leads the line against Fulham at Anfield.

Nunez has not started since the goalless draw with Chelsea on April 4 but is named down the middle of the front three at home to the Cottagers as Cody Gakpo drops to the bench.

Luis Diaz is once named in the starting lineup as the Colombian looks to continue on from Sunday's 4-3 win over Tottenham when he scored his first goal since early September.

It marks the first time that has started back-to-back games since September when he played in the Champions League group fixtures against Napoli and Ajax.

Elsewhere, captain Jordan Henderson returns to the team at the expense of Harvey Elliott as Curtis Jones is once more given the chance to impress alongside Fabinho in the centre of the park.

Kostas Tsimikas completes the changes as the Greek left-back comes in for Andy Robertson in a back four that also includes Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is expected to reprise his inverted full-back role that sees him move into midfield in possession.

Thiago Alcantara is absent after he was ruled out for the remainder of the season having suffered a hip injury. The midfielder is due to undergo surgery as a result to correct the issue and will play no further part this term.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Nunez, Diaz.

Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Milner, Gakpo, Elliott, Jota, Robertson, Carvalho, Matip.
