Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate has backed “little brother” Khephren Thuram to complete a move to Anfield and suggested that he would help him settle in.
The Reds are in dire need of midfield additions ahead of next season following a host of exits. Jurgen Klopp has already managed to get a deal over the line with a £45m swoop for Brighton playmaker Alexis Mac Allister.
However, their summer business appears highly unlikely to end there. Nice star Thuram has already been linked with a move to Merseyside, whilst it is suggested that talks with his representatives are already under way.
One man who will be a big fan of the 22-year-old signing for the Reds would be current Liverpool star Konate. The pair have played together on the international stage for France. When asked about the prospect of the Thuram signing for Liverpool by RMC Sport, the defender replied: “Khephren is like my little brother.
"He's someone I saw growing up. I was with his big brother [Marcus Thuram] in the [international youth set-up] but Khephren... I saw him grow. I saw him perform and progress to a [high] level. It was incredible.
"Even when he came to the France team for his first call-up, I saw him at the training and I was really surprised by his size and his technical ease. I would be very happy for him to come to Liverpool.

Thuram is fresh off the back of a brilliant season in Ligue 1. The midfielder made 48 appearances for Nice across all competitions, scoring twice and providing eight assists.
He has two years left to run on his current contract with the French outfit. But Thuram is not the only midfield option being considered by Klopp.
Borussia Monchengladbach star Manu Kone is also on their shortlist with discussions also thought to have been launched between the two clubs. Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has also emerged as a surprise contender to move to Anfield.
Reports in Spain have suggested the Reds have made a £51m approach for the Uruguayan midfielder but the Spanish side were quick to reject that offer out of hand. Real are also set to frustrate Liverpool further this summer as they edge towards sealing the services of former Reds target Jude Bellingham.
They have agreed a fee with the England star’s current employers Borussia Dortmund and he will pen a six-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
