Liverpool loanee Paul Glatzel could not believe his misfortune just minutes into the second half of Tranmere Rovers' 3-2 victory over Mansfield Town in League Two.
The 21-year-old was back in the starting-eleven for Micky Mellon's men on Friday night, after missing the four previous matches due to a hamstring injury, but is now facing another spell on the sidelines.
After fashioning a shot at goal shortly after the restart, there was a moment of realisation. Glatzel began to grimace and soon dropped to the ground. His worst fears were realised.

Time was up on his evening at Prenton Park due to what appears to be another hamstring blow, which left the youngster in an emotional state as he was helped off the pitch.
The Prenton Park crowd were on their feet to applaud Glatzel, though he could not bare to face the fans. Visibly upset, the Reds' Academy star covered his face with his shirt before heading straight down the tunnel.
For a player who has been rocked by so many cruel injury setbacks throughout his early career in Liverpool's Academy, including a long-term ACL issue, there appears to be no let-up on this front.
Glatzel has also been ruled out of action due to COVID-19 this campaign and Tranmere's boss has admitted the talented striker has been left 'distraught' after his return to action has again been cut short.
"I think he has done his hamstring again. He is distraught," said Mellon after the match.
"If it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have any. It's really sad. He has shown character before and he will get the support. He is obviously very disappointed, but we will hopefully get him back as quickly as possible."
When featuring for the Whites this term, Glatzel has caught the eye.
Despite having to remain patient for opportunities within Mellon's side, he boasts a respectable record of six goals and five assists in all competitions.
